The Listener on the end of the line is a real person with their own opinions. They may not even agree with you — and they don’t have to!
Our Listeners are there to
Our staff are all based in the UK and are usually around between 10am and 10pm UK time, so if it’s night time there they may all be asleep!
Otherwise they could be out shopping, picking kids up from school, working their other job, making a cake, napping… You get the picture.
You can always book a call for a time that suits you.
No! If you need therapy, speak to a trained therapist. If you are in distress, crisis or need emergency support call a crisis hotline instead.
The Listener’s main job is…to listen. But they’re a real person and you can ask for advice if you want.
Note that if they don’t feel comfortable doing so, they don’t have to.
No. You may get the same person 10 times in a row or only once. You can’t ask staff for personal information.
Yep! But sexual or disrespectful language directed at the Listeners will not be tolerated and they reserve the right to end the call early without refund.
We never record calls, and for instant calls we don’t ask for your name or phone number. Stripe asks for an email address to send your receipt.
For booked calls you’ll need to give a name and an email address so we can send your booking confirmation. See our Privacy Policy for the details.

Payments run through Stripe, so your card details never touch our servers. You can pay with any major card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal — whatever's best for you. Booked calls are paid by card when you book.
You can rejoin from the call page (or your booking link) for the rest of your call time.
For instant calls and gifts, you’re only charged (or your gift used up) once the call counts. If it never reaches a real person, or ends too soon, your payment is released (or your gift stays unused) automatically.
The service is staffed by a small pool of Listeners. They are normal people with different personalities, priorities and schedules.
You can do that. As long as you’re not violating our terms you can do what you like.
